corners are definitely being turned. At the top we have an owner who genuinely has a fans heart. Inexperience may have slowed the process, but I can't help thinking the sins of the first few years will soon be very forgotten.

In the final 44 games of the season, Reinhart was on fire scoring 22 goals and adding 19 assists. Although he said confidence had something to do with it he elaborated on his transformation as he continued talking to the gathered media."I said to myself, 'I'm just going to play my game and not, you know...'" That's where he trailed off looking for the appropriate words leaving one to wonder if he was just about ready to maybe talk about the way he was being used and/or game-planning.

"You know I think it's more important for me to play my game," he continued. "It's more beneficial to me and the team for me to play my game and however that fits into the team...you know I think I just..."

Once again he trailed of looking for the appropriate words. "I don't want to say I said, 'screw it' but umm...I think it was important for me to get back to what I did best in the past and I think I was able to find a way to [figure out] how it fits into a team game and hopefully can start with that next year."

I don't believe this one bit. Most likely, Reinhart's agent told him that he better put up some numbers because he has a new contact coming up.

My concern with Rhino is that many of his goals are the sort of cleanup goals or "garbage" goals around the net. Obviously these goals are really important in the NHL, but you would like to see more of a dynamic player rather than that complementary one.

Although, when Eichel went down with injury late last season Reinhart was probably our best offensive player overall and he did create quite a bit, just not off the rush.

Still wondering if they'll try to use him at center again or if they've given up on that.

he will be moved for a conditional 6th

it's easy to find 22 year olds that score 25 goals in the season

just look at larkin, william nylander, sam bennett, mantha, drouin, lindholm, horvat, max domi, burakovsky, tom wilson, marner

oh wait, none of them did it

You think sam didn't realize his contract was up?

Good thing his agent reminded him

I was a little surprised william nylander didn't get 25 goals in a season

then again we don't need reinhart moving forward

I think you’re getting a little overboard.

He played great last half of last year.

Let’s not forget that he is maybe the least threatening offensive player to score 20+ goals.

He’s a complimentary guy. Not a bad thing, but not a guy I’d lock up for 6.5-7 mil yet

Keep family out of this, wondering what he did for you that has you so smitten. Is it Sam's eyes?

Maybe.

I don’t think it’s too early to say he will never go on an end to end rush for a goal, or take over a game like Jack has.

I see that potential in Casey, Eichel, Dahlin.

Not Sam.
